How do i transfer an Ewon to a new account. Error! t2m-Access denied ??

Since September 2019 it is not possible anymore to connect an Ewon device to Talk2M if this Ewon device is already linked to another Talk2M account.

If one tries to register an Ewon device which is already linked to another Talk2m account, the Ewon device displays the following error message while performing the Talk2M wizard:

Error Code: t2m-Access denied

To be able to register an "already-linked" Ewon device to a new account, the Ewon must first be deleted from the former Talk2M account.

If you do not have access to the Talk2M account, an unlock key must be used to release the Ewon from the existing account.

Unlock procedure

  1. For security and Data Protection reason it is not possible to connect an Ewon device to a Talk2M account if this Ewon device is already linked to another Talk2M account.
  2. To allow the Ewon device to connect to the new Talk2M account, proceed as follows:
    • using eCatcher, delete the Ewon from the former Talk2M account it is currently linked to.
      Inside eCatcher, you can find this Ewon device via its serial number:
      • make sure the serial number column is displayed in eCatcher.
      • look up your Ewon device through the search bar.
    • on the Ewon device, re-run the Talk2M wizard to connect it to the new Talk2M account.
  3. If access to the previous account is not possible please fill in the attached form and send it back to : ts-BUewon@hms-networks.com
  4. Ewon BU will process the request as soon as possible. If the request is accepted, recovery key will be sent to you.
  5. Please re-run the Talk2M Wizard twice
    1. Once with the provided unlock key
    2. Secondly with the key from the new account
